It's amazing how quickly you work when you don't have to worry about changing colors. Not only that, you don't have to spend so much time reading the chart because there's only one symbol! You are just checking for position. That being said, I'm not done yet, but it's moving along nicely.
Remember what I said about going to the
dark right brain side? Well, I can't seem to get away from this sampler to work on SoHRH. So maybe I'm not there yet.
Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, Tommye! I love the swirly flowers.
ReplyDeleteWow! You're so fast! I used to do monochromatic pieces, but I've discovered that color is one of the things that keeps me going on a piece. I'd like to get back to some mono pieces though. Your piece is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning! Truly!! Sometimes it takes that perfect color combination to make it work. Nice job so far!!!
ReplyDeleteI restarted Mary Wigham using a blue silk, and it is going so much faster with just one color to worry about.
ReplyDeleteI love the piece you're doing now! All the swirlies are gorgeous.
Tommye, that is BEAUTIFUL! Seeing your progress gives me a kick in the pants to work on my Jane Rees a bit more. I love your progress. That fiber color you're using is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for not stopping working on this piece. It's really beautiful. And you're making great progress on it.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I like one-color: it's speedy, baby!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty....love the dark color on that fabric! Keep on stitching.
ReplyDeleteAnother cool one!!!! Nice~
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Tommye - I always love seeing the evolution of all of your stitchings.
ReplyDeleteIt is looking great. I haven't ever done a piece with one color but would love to:)!!
ReplyDeleteit looks great. I know what you mean about not changing colors - when I have been stitching, I've been doing a tabletopper with one watercolour. It moves from one motif to the next & I don't have to monitor the symbol on the chart!!! LOL Enjoy the day, stitch well
ReplyDeleteWow that is stitching up really fast and I love it!
